Family Fun

When I was raising my daughter and son, we did several fun things as a family. We played board games, played cards, had movie and pizza night, went to amusement parks occasionally, went to get ice cream sometimes after supper or snow cones in the summer. Just really anything fun we could find to do together either at home or going somewhere local. Occasionally we went on trips to see family. And each of us had our own hobbies we like to do. My daughter and I have always loved to read books . My son did not much until he became an adult and likes reading books now. I have always loved doing crafts too and still do. My daughter taught herself to sew and loves to make quilts and enters contest for them. Both of my kids love football and play fantasy football so they connect over that. Both my kids and me have always had a lots of friends and I have a huge family. I had 27 1st cousins! That is just my cousins not counting their spouse, children, grandchildren and some are great grandparents. We of course have lost their parents mine too and some cousins. Always hard to lose family or friends or pets even. So I think its important to of course to do things as a family or if your single with friends. It is important in a family that each persons hobbies or what they like to do is always encouraged. Creativity is so important for everyone as it challenges your mind and keeps your mind active and learning new things. Spending time with people does not have to cost a lot of money. Spending money on experiences is so much better than buying gifts that people probably won’t use anyway and takes up space. But having an experience is fun and makes wonderful memories. Oh one more thing we like to do at home was karaoke after I bought a karaoke machine! It was so much fun! We also visited museums occasionally also. So these are just some ideas for you and your family. Kids especially are always ready for anything fun and kids make it so special. So find something fun to do with your kids and grandkids today!
