Faith and wellness

My mom told me they took me to church the first time when I was two weeks old! By the time we moved to Oklahoma I was 3 years old and already loved church. I loved the sermons and especially had fun with the activities. I went to church camp every year then became a camp counselor. I took my daughter and son to church too. I still attend church most Sundays and enjoy the activities.

For me my faith in God is strong. I’ve visited other denominations with family and friends friends and found we all have a lot in common. Most people are the denomination that their parents raised them. So our spiritual side is part of our wellness .

Another part of our wellness is our mental health and well being. I try to stay positive and do things I enjoy. One of the things I’ve done my entire life is read books and write. These two are my favorite things to do and put me in a happy peaceful place. I’d rather read a book or write than to even watch tv or a movie although I do have a few tv shows I love and give me a great Christmas movie to watch anytime!

This leads to our physical well-being. My favorite physical activities are swimming in the summer and just going for short walks to just enjoy the fresh air!

I have a lot of things wrong with my health but I keep going! I do what I need to do a little bit at a time and that’s okay!

Last it’s very important to me to remember to always be grateful for what I have and remember there are many people homeless with no where to go. I’m thankful for all the things I have that I owe no money on and plan to just remind everyone to think of 3 things each day to be grateful for. In conclusion by doing these things I believe each of us will be blessed with more than enough money, clothes, and anything else we need. What are you grateful for today
