Easy fruit cobbler

This recipe is very easy and can be used with any canned pie filling and white or yellow cake mix. I will use peach as an example but you can use apple pie filling too and sprinkle cinnamon over the top of the apple pie filling for an added flavor.

Peach Cobbler

Two regular size can of sliced peaches

1 box of yellow cake mix or white cake mix

stick butter cut into slices to put on top of cake mix

Drain one can of the peach slices. Do not drain the other can of peach slices. Pour both cans into a 13×9 inch pan sprayed with cooking spray. Put the dry cake mix over the top of the peaches covering them all over. Cut stick of butter or two sticks if needed into slices and lay them on top of the cake mix covering all of the cake mix. Put in 425 degree oven until brown on top. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.

My Mom and the older women in my family made the old fashioned peach cobbler which is also very delicious. But if you are in a hurry this simple recipe is also delicious. If you are interested in the recipe for old fashioned peach cobbler just google old fashioned peach cobbler and it will bring up several recipes for it. It takes longer to make so it is up to how much time you have. But both are delicious. And like I shared using apple pie filling with cinnamon sprinkled over the apples is also delicious or whatever kind of pie filling you want to try. This is a very versatile recipe. Aways even yummier with vanilla ice cream on top.
