Denton Texas

I’ve lived in Texas and Oklahoma mainly my whole life until recently moving to Arizona to be close to my daughter, son in law and grandkids!

My son and daughter and I lived in Denton for 3 years while I attended Texas Woman’s University getting my Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies.

On the TWU campus is a beautiful small chapel and a pond beside it where my children and I fed the ducks. If you haven’t heard do not feed ducks bread. It swells up in their stomachs causing a lot of problems. Corn is a much better choice or you can Google other good choices.

Denton has a beautiful square downtown with a beautiful courthouse in the middle and one of my favorite places a used bookstore and CDs on one of the corners! My kids and I would spend hours in that store just looking for things to buy.

There are several restaurants on the square one being a great hamburger and cheeseburger restaurant that has really good food!

You can spend your vacation in Denton or a day there. It’s 45-minute drive from Dallas one way and 45 minutes another way to Ft Worth. Explore either of these huge cities for more entertainment and fun!

Remember Denton is a great town to explore and see things as well as Dallas and Ft Worth. You can’t go wrong visiting this area of Texas!
