When I was a single mother with my kids growing up I’d have to go to places givingout free food. You only have to show proof of address like an electric bill or some similar your mail so they know where you live and your ID. No proof of income is required and anyone can do this. It really helps a lot with groceries. And it’s really fun to see what you get and can make with what you get and already have. But be prepared to wait in line a long time and always going the earliest time they are open helps a lot too. Just Google food banks close to you and call to see their hours and days. Salvation Army gives out a lot of free food! Don’t be embarrassed by doing this. Your family and you have to eat and groceries especially now are so expensive. I try to share things that have helped me cut costs and give you help on where to find low cost or free things.
