Christmas Eve

By Darla Youngblood

It’s Christmas Eve and while most of us are getting excited and doing last minute things for our Christmas Day. Let’s not forget our soilders and other people who got one reason or another don’t have family or friends to spend Christmas Day with. If you know someone like that and can make them a card and maybe a plate of your Christmas Day food and take it to them telling them Merry Christmas and you just want them to know they are thought about and loved on Christmas Day!
Tomorrow take lots of pictures of your Christmas celebrations! Making memories and capturing them in pictures for generations to come is so special! All my grandparents, my mom and Dad and stepdad have all passed away now! One of the things my mom made a lot when my Dad was alive he passed away when I was 11 years old was the Texas Sheet Cake which the recipe I have shared in my recipes! I made two 13×9 cakes that’s what the recipe makes! I bought two temporary foil pans with lids that was the perfect size! I’m taking one of these cakes to my daughter’s Christmas Day! So we will have something my mom made for me to share with my daughter son in law and 4 of my 5 grandchildren who live here in Arizona !
So I encourage you at Christmas or even other holidays bring a little of your family into your Christmas with your children or grandchildren! Make lots of memories and take lots of pictures !

None of us know when our time on earth is over so cherish every minute and every person in your life! Have a wonderful Christmas everyone! 🎄🎁
