When my children were growing up, I made their Halloween costumes. I became a divorced single mom when my son was 2 years old and my daughter was 3 years old. My son had a zip up onesie pajamas and I found a big fluffy tail and rabbit ears to put on him and painted his little nose pink with makeup and drew some whiskers by his mouth with my black eyeliner and he was the cutest little bunny! My daughter I painted her face to make her into a clown with clown makeup and bought a colorful wig and a horn ! She was an adorable clown!Another Halloween when they were in grade school my son had a black backpack. I stuffed it with rolled up newspaper to make it big. Then I bought black knee high hose and stuffed six of them with rolled up newspapers and tied them off. I attached three on each side of the backpack to make him a black spider! I painted his face a little too. He looked so cute! Then for my daughter I cut out a Christmas tree from some foam and a star from the foam with eye holes and a mouth hole in the star. I spray painted the tree green and cut out round circles from the foam and decorated them to look like ornaments and attached them to the tree after all was dry. Then I attached strings to the star for a mask and made another tree for the back of the Christmas tree and put strings through the tree to put over her head to hang the tree off her shoulders! She looked adorable and won a contest for the best costume at our church!
These are just a few ideas I came up with that my kids loved! So be creative and make your kid’s Halloween costumes this year! They will love it!
