Start a new Christmas tradition

I love this tree! I love the colors especially. This tree was put up exactly like this in the lobby of my doctors office building. I just had to take a picture.
Putting up a Christmas tree is a tradition in most of our lives along with a really good meal on Christmas Day!
Some of the other things we could add on Christmas Eve is making cookies to take to a fire department or police station to show our first responder’s how much we appreciate them. Another thing we could do is volunteer our time at a soup kitchen or food bank. Another place to volunteer is at a animal shelter to let those precious pets know they are not forgotten . We could also make some sugar free cookies to take to a nursing home and sing Christmas songs to the residents.
If you don’t have the time for any of these then a money donation to a food bank or animal shelter would help a lot. Animal shelters need pet food and blankets or towels to keep pets warm. If you can’t donate money to a food bank then go through your pantry and donate some non-perishable food.

A great idea I saw on Facebook one year is to wrap a present for your kids with a new set of pajamas, the book ‘Twas the night before Christmas and popcorn to watch a Christmas movie and let them open it on Christmas Eve.
And the thing I love the most on Christmas Eve is going to church for the very special service on our Saviors birth.
Hopefully this gives your family ideas or a group of friends if you are single. Let’s all get in the spirit and share the magic of Christmas.
