Saving on Groceries

To save on groceries I do a few things. I always look in my pantry, refrigerator and freezer to see what food I have and what else I need to make a meal. You do not have to buy as many groceries if you do that. Also if you sit down and plan your meals too before you shop, that will also save you from buying so many groceries. I also make a lot of food at one time and then heat up the leftovers so I am not cooking every day.

I am repeating on here in case people did not read my recipe for how I make Stroganoff. I shop for most of my food and other things I need at Walmart. I actually use the Walmart app and have it delivered. Walmart + is 15 dollars a month with unlimited deliveries. But one day I was in Walmart shopping and looking for some frozen meat. It is a little cheaper than the fresh meat. So I found one pound package of ground turkey for 1.98 a pound. That is around 2.50 less than fresh 1 pound of ground turkey. Both is a one pound roll. I use it in anything I used ground beef for even turkey burgers. You season it however you want for added flavor while you are cooking it. But I have switched completely to ground turkey instead of ground beef because it is so much cheaper and so much better for you since ground beef has a lot of fat in it. I use it in casseroles, stroganoff, turkey chili, tacos, and crockpot lasagne to name a few dishes. It takes a little while to switch but I do not miss the ground beef now. I am not against eating red meat at all. I do still buy red meat in other forms.

So hopefully this helps you and your family save some money on groceries with these tips.
