Make your own jelly

By Darla Youngblood

This is sure jell. You will need to buy this first. In it is the instructions to make jelly from either juice like grape juice for grape jelly or some other kind of juice for a different flavor. It also gives instructions on how to make jelly with fruit in it.

I like to make these homemade jellies at Christmas time especially to give one as a gift to someone! Everyone loves getting homemade jelly!

Buy a case of 12 mason jars. One box usually makes 6 or more jars. With the other jars you can put real fruit like raspberries or blueberries in them and close it to help keep them fresher longer.
My grandmother and her sister my Aunt Lottie canned a lot of different kinds of foods in mason jars to put on shelves and always have ready to put in a recipe!
Learning how to can food and make jelly is fun and can help make your food last longer for yourself or your family
